Use SSH (Secure Shell)
SSH is a protocol designed to allow people to log into another computer over a network, to execute commands on that computer and to move files to and from that computer. It effectively replaces telnet, ftp and the rcp/rsh/remsh programs.
It is recommended to use a secure mechanism to transfer files from one computer system to another. The use of SSH or Secure Shell provides the added security of encrypting the traffic between two hosts. The use of an SSH client such as PuTTY can provide this ability.
