UCSF Data Center LEED Silver Certified
The UCSF Data Center received LEED Silver certification for its sustainability and energy efficiency design. Originally developed by industry leaders, the LEED Silver certification looks at building efficiency and recognizes practices that reduce waste and improve energy efficiency.
The certification process involved the completion of a facility survey to determine eligibility and level of certification. Points are awarded based upon the five major credit categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy and Atmosphere, Materials and Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality, plus an additional points for Innovation in Design and for Regional Priority.
