macOS 10.12 (Sierra) Support
WHAT’S HAPPENING: UCSF IT has verified compatibility with standard UCSF applications and macOS Sierra. IT Field Services will officially support macOS 10.12 (Sierra), in addition to macOS 10.11 (El Capitan) and macOS 10.10 (Yosemite), effective immediately.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO: If you are supported by ITFS or other IT support, please submit a ticket to request assistance with upgrading your Mac to macOS Sierra. If you do not have IT support or would like to perform the upgrade yourself, macOS Sierra may be obtained from the Mac App Store for free.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: macOS 10.9 and older are NOT supported by IT Field Services. If you are running macOS 10/9 or older, please upgrade your computer as soon as possible. If you are upgrading your Mac yourself, please be sure to back up all of your data before performing any updates. You MUST update Symantec Endpoint Protection and Dell Data Protection from http://software.ucsf.edu BEFORE upgrading to macOS Sierra.
