WHAT’S HAPPENING: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 will reach its end-of-life on July 13, 2015. Microsoft will no longer be providing updates or support, and Windows 2003 servers will no longer meet UCSF minimum security requirements. Servers must be upgraded to a supported version of the operating system by this date. Server migrations will be closely coordinated with appropriate stakeholders, including application owners and users.
HOW WE CAN HELP YOU: Our project team will be reaching out to owners of systems running Windows Server 2003 to help make sure all systems are upgraded successfully by the deadline. If there are Windows Server 2003 systems in your environment and you haven’t heard from our team, please contact us at email@example.com. You can stay up to date on what is happening in regards to this project by visiting https://it.ucsf.edu/projects/windows-server-2003-end-support. The website provides comprehensive information on the project progress, objectives, announcements, and scheduled outages.
For more information or for an assessment of your current server environment, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you can contact Project Manager, Arabella Handy at email@example.com.
