Windows Server 2003 Project: Server Upgrade Mandate
As you know, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 will reach its end-of-life in less than five months and one or more systems in your area have been identified as running Microsoft Windows Server 2003. Since Microsoft will no longer be providing support, and Windows 2003 servers will no longer meet UCSF minimum security requirements, you are responsible for upgrading the servers you manage by April 2nd, 2015. Servers must be upgraded to a supported version of the operating system by this date. Please let the Windows Server 2003 project team know if you have any issues with meeting the deadline above. In addition, you can stay up to date on what is happening in regards to this project by visiting Windows Server 2003 Refresh Project web site. Alternatively, you can contact the project customer engagement lead, Chris Orsine at Christopher.Orsine@ucsf.edu.
