Services:      Database Administration (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL)

UCSF Database Administration team is responsible for database support of Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and DB2 databases.  Our suite of database-related services includes:

  • Database software installation, upgrade and patching
  • Database creation
  • Database configuration
  • Database patching
  • Database upgrade
  • Database server migration
  • Database performance tuning (SQL and configuration)
  • Disaster recovery planning and implementation
  • Database monitoring using Oracle Enterprise Manager and/or Nagios

Services:      AIX, Solaris and Linux Administration

UCSF AIX, Solaris and Linux Administration team is responsible for server support of AIX, Solaris and Red Hat Linux.  Our suite of server-related services includes:

  • AIX, Solaris Unix and Linux Logical Volume creation  *For internal IT customers only - external IT  customers please visit /services/virtual-server-hosting
  • AIX, Solaris Unix and Linux install/upgrade/patches
  • AIX Server backups
  • File transfer - ftp_request_form.doc
  • System monitoring using Nagios and other tools
