Email Account Lockout
Your UCSF email account is set up to "lockout" after 5 failed login attempts. In cases of email account lockout, there is no specific error message generated.
This is what a lockedout account looks like from the Outllok Web App (OWA). You enter your email account user name and password...
But when you click the "Sign in" button, you see the message, "The user name or password you entered isn't correct. Try entering it again."
This is an indication that your email account might be locked.
How to unlock your account:
- If you enrolled your email account in the UCSF Active Directory Account Manager, follow these instructions to unlock your email account.
- Contact the IT Service Desk at 415-514-4100, 24/7/365, a service desk agent will assist you with unlocking your email account.
- Wait 15 minutes for your email account to reset itself.
