UCSF Active Directory Resource Accounts
A component of the mail@UCSF system, resource accounts are generally:
- Conference or meeting rooms
- laptops and projectors
- Study specific email account (for recruitment or to establish a dedicated project identity).
Using Active Directory (AD) Resource Accounts
Resource accounts must have a departmetnal manager designated on the account. This person will be considered the acount owner and be repsonsible for managing appropriate use and access (permissions) to the account.
There is no direct charge for an Active Directory account.
Access to Active Directory accounts is available 24/7/365, outside of routine maintenance windows.
