UCSFwpa Instructions - Linux

Stefan Topfstedt's picture

The instructions were compiled on a PC running Ubuntu Linux 14.04 LTS. YMMV with other versions of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions.

  1. Find and open the "Network connections" application:
    search for network connections
  2. Select "UCSFwpa" and press the "Edit" button.
    network connections dialog
  3. On the "Wi-Fi Security" tab, select "WPA & WPA2 Enterprise" from the "Security" drop-down, "Protected EAP (PEAP)" from the "Authentication" drop-down, and "MSCHAPv2" from the "Inner authentication" drop-down.
Fill in the "Username" and "Password" fields with your Active Directory credentials (including the AD domain), leave the rest as-is. Press "Save" to persist your changes.
    Network connection details
  4. Find and open the "Network" application.
    find network application
  5. Select "UCSFwpa" from the list of available wireless networks to connect to the network.
    list of available networks

That's it.
