Service Interruption: UCSF Genentech Hall Building Deactivating Unused Network Ports

Reason

On Monday 01/07/2013 starting at 7:30am ITS will be deactivating network ports that have been identified as not having any network activity for the past year in the Genentech Hall Building. This deactivation work is to help prepare for a network upgrade in the network closets.

Impact

None anticipated. Several test have been ran the last couple of months to monitor and validate the unused ports that have been inactive for over 1 year. Please call the Help Desk if you think your network connectivity has been disconnected in error.
