WHAT HAPPENED?

Adobe has released security updates for Adobe Reader and Acrobat  for Windows, Mac and Linux.

Adobe is aware of reports that these vulnerabilities are being exploited in the wild, in targeted attacks designed to trick users into clicking on malicious PDF files delivered in an email message.

Advanced Users: For a complete description of the security enhancements and affected software, refer to APSB13-07: Security Updates Available for Adobe Reader and Acrobat.

AFFECTED SYSTEMS:

  • Adobe Reader XI 11.0.01 and earlier for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Reader X 10.1.5 and earlier for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Reader 9.5.3 and earlier 9.x versions for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux
  • Adobe Acrobat XI 11.0.01 and earlier for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Acrobat X 10.1.5 and earlier for Windows and Macintosh
  • Adobe Acrobat 9.5.3. and earlier 9.x versions for Windows and Macintosh

WHAT'S THE PROBLEM?

You may not be aware you’re using Adobe Flash Player and other Adobe products but it is freely available on most web browsers (such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome and Safari).  An outdated program may allow an attacker to take control of your computer.

HOW DO I PROTECT MY COMPUTER?
