Reason

A failing RAID driver on the VMware server is causing instability. A number of hosted virtual servers have experienced performance issues and loss of connectivity.

Impact

At 2:00 p.m. this afternoon we will shut down virtual machines that provide the following services: • Profiles.ucsf.edu • Advance/MPM • Peoplesoft reporting • Various other applications and websites We anticipate the shutdown to cause a 20 minute interruption to the services hosted on this server.
