Scheduled Maintenance: Campus Wireless Networks – 1700 Owens Street (VA) 3rd & 4th Floor
Date and Time
Thursday, January 16, 2014 - 06:30 to Friday, January 17, 2014 - 12:00
The IT Network Services will be decommissioning the current wireless controller and migrating the Wireless Access Points (WAPs) to a new, more robust wireless controller on the Mission Bay Campus. Each WAP will be migrated to another controller. This is one piece to a re-architecting initiative in the wireless environment to reduce costs to UCSF, provide Enterprise solution with redundancy, and improve service to our end users.
During this scheduled timeframe, customers may experience a degradation of service or loss of connectivity up to 2-3 minute and UCSF wireless printer(s) will need to be reconfigured to print using the UCSFwpa or UCSFGuest wireless networks. There will be no impact to the VA wired networks.
