Reason

A construction crew working within the Clinical Sciences building inadvertently severed a cable feeding Centrex telecom connectivity to the UC Hall building.

Impact

Some customers experienced no dial tone on their Centrex phones.

Resolution

The vendor (AT&T) completed the cable work on Saturday, June 4th to restore phone service. The Network Field team will continue to closely monitor the phone system to ensure there’s no voice quality issues. If you continue to experience no dial tone, please contact the IT Service Desk at 415-514-4100 to open a ticket.
