CipherCloud servers experienced an extended downtime that caused a delay in the ability to process real time events occurring on Box.
Box files with PHI or placed in a customer’s Secure folder were not encrypted in real time. All files on Box were eventually encrypted after some delay. Customers were advised not to add files that contain UCSF PHI or other restricted data to UCSF Box during this timeframe.
The servers are caught up and are now processing events in real time. Customers can now add files containing UCSF PHI or other restricted data to their UCSF Box Secure Folder.
