This section summarizes the approach for the refresh of the wireless network access points. The current list of buildings within scope of the projects are listed at the bottom of the page.


      A. AP Migration plan

  • Migrate buildings to clusters as per section 3
  • Remediate small building to Unify AP models per floor
  • Building with new RF design will be migrated to AP-325
  • APs other than AP-225 will reallocate to small, none critical sites

Web-Based applications may be inaccessible from inside UCSF network

Due to an outage with internet service provider, CENIC, multiple internet-based services may be inaccessible from inside the UCSF Network. 


Services impacted include, but are not limited to:


  • Service Now
  • Box
  • Peoplesoft
  • Outlook client from within UCSF Network may not be functioning for customers. has been confirmed as a workaround for email in those cases.

UCSF IT Teams are in contact with the vendor and working to resolve as soon as possible.
