Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) 2022

  • Start:

  • End:

  • Audience: Non-UCSF, Staff

May 19th is Global Accessibility Awareness Day!

The purpose of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) is to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital (web, software, mobile, etc.) access/inclusion for the one billion people who have different abilities.

While people may be interested in the topic, the reality is that they often do not know how or where to start. Awareness comes first. Become more aware about digital accessibility and celebrate the right of every individual to enjoy equal access to the Internet.

There are two separate registration links, one for the University of California system wide event in the morning and one for the UCSF events in the afternoon.

Morning Event with UC

We all want to contribute to making UC more inclusive, especially for our colleagues, constituents and community members who have disabilities, but we’re not always sure how. Accessibility can seem so technical, complex. and confusing. Thankfully, the UC Electronic Accessibility Committee (EAC) is here to help!
