From The CIO - January 2016
Dear UCSF Community,
The “new” year is already shaping up to be dynamic and fast-paced, and the IT team is eager to roll-out several new tools and business services aimed at increasing efficiency and streamlining workflow across our enterprise.
One of these new tools includes the launch of WebEx across UCSF. This centrally funded audio, video, and web conference tool is now widely available. WebEx is easy to use, and I encourage you to start using this collaborative resource.
IT security continues to be a top priority and I thank those of you who completed the Mandatory Cyber Security Training. If you have not completed the training, or if you are not sure if you have completed it, check your inbox (search: Mandatory Cyber Security Training), or launch the course from the Learning Center website here: https://learningcenter.ucsfmedicalcenter.org. The UCSF goal is 100% completion by January 31.
Finally, I am pleased to share that the Clinical Systems and IT teams have successfully completed the double upgrade to Apex to Epic version 2015, which also means our medical records system is now running through our new, highly secure data center.
I hope the year is going well for you, and thank you for taking the time to read these IT updates.
Associate Vice Chancellor and
Chief Information Officer
