Stay Secure; Stay Connected

On Tuesday, January 15 we will require the ForeScout SecureConnector network access control (NAC) agent when using Pulse Secure VPN.

If you use a computer that is owned and managed by UCSF, you already have this software. Look for this icon in your Windows system tray or on your Mac menu bar. If you see this then you do not need to do anything else.

Computers without critical security patches, anti-virus software or a host-based firewalls are targets for hackers and can be used to spread malware and compromise other devices on the network. Using a Network Access Control (NAC) client drastically decreases the likelihood of infected or vulnerable computers joining our network.

For NAC information and installers see https://nac.ucsf.edu (accessible from the UCSF network). For assistance please call the IT Service Desk at 415-514-4100.
