MATLAB Access for Everyone at UCSF

UCSF has a Total Academic Headcount (TAH) license allowing campus-wide access to MATLAB, Simulink and a variety of add-on products. All faculty, researchers and students can use MATLAB on their personal computers and laptops.

MATLAB is the world’s leading computational platform for engineering, scientific and mathematical applications. A fundamental tool for research and development used throughout many industries, MATLAB enables the design and development of a wide range of advanced products and systems including automotive systems, aerospace flight control and avionics, telecommunications, industrial machinery and medical devices. More than 5,000 colleges and universities around the world use MATLAB for teaching and research in a broad range of technical disciplines.

Note: UCSF units handling sensitive data should not use the cloud-based MATLAB (yet)​.
