Intended Use

Can I use Keeper for personal accounts too?

Keeper is intended for UCSF work purposes only. If you do use it for personal accounts, when you separate from UCSF, this information will be immediately removed and irretrievable.

How do I take my personal information with me when I separate from UCSF?

You have the ability to export a CSV file of your information from Keeper. Keep in mind that UCSF owns your work product; when leaving, please only take your personal information with you as outlined in UCSF's Electronic Communications Policy.

Master Password

I forgot my Master Password. How do I access my account?

In order to use Keeper, you must set a Master Password. If you forget your Master Password, you must use Keeper's Account Recovery feature. Account Recovery is based on your selected security question, security answer, email address and Duo two-factor authentication code. To use Account Recovery, simply open Keeper on the Web Vault at https://keepersecurity.com/vault/, iOS app, Android app or Desktop app and click on "Forgot Password" after an incorrect password attempt. If you have Account Recovery enabled on your account, you will be guided through a procedure to reset your master password. If you are unable to complete the Account Recovery procedure, you will need to contact Keeper directly on their contact us page.
