Scheduled Maintenance: UCSF Smith Cardiovascular Research Building (CVRB) Deactivation of Wireless Secure Server
Date and Time
Wednesday, March 13, 2013 - 07:45
On Wednesday 3/13/2013 at 7:45am ITS will be decommissioning the local wireless controller and migrating the Wireless Access Points (WAPs) to another Mission Bay Controller. This is one piece to a re-architecting initiative in the wireless environment to reduce costs to UCSF, provide Enterprise solution with redundancy, and improve service to our end users.
Each AP at CVRB will be migrated to another controller. The individual AP will be down approx. 3-5 minutes. The total time to do this migration of all the APs will be approximately 1 hour. Impact as an end user connected to the wireless network, UCSFwpa or UCSFguest, during the migration of the AP you are connected to you may experience a degradation of service or loss of connectivity for the 3-5 minutes migration.
