The CLS File Server will be moving to the UCSF Data Center and managed by the ITS Data Center Services. This is an enterprise level system, monitored and supported 24x7.


Customers will be unable to access CLSFileServer ( during this maintenance window. After the move is complete, customers will be accessing a new file server (SOM044.SOM.UCSF.EDU). Additional Information: All current file server/share mappings *WILL* change. For most CLS customers, the new drive mapping (from Macs) will be: smb://$ If you are with Distribution, Storage and Mail, your new mapping will be: smb://$ If you are with Student Disability Services, your new mapping will be: Smb://$ Please refer to the attached document (CLS file migration – file share mapping information.pdf) for detailed instructions on how to view and change your drive mappings. ITFS technicians will be onsite at Mission Bay and Parnassus to provide additional assistance on the morning of Monday, March 24.
