Scheduled Maintenance:Campus Wireless Network
Date and Time
IT Network Service will be performing a software change to the existing Aruba Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
During the scheduled timeframe, customers may experience a degradation of service or loss of connectivity for 10-20 minutes. All wireless devices IP Addresses will change from Public IP to Private IP space which may impact the following:
- Connectivity of wireless devices to servers in the Data Center, local labs, and Internet cloud servers will be impacted. Please use your VPN connection as a workaround.
- Older wireless devices and devices with older wireless network card software using 802.11 b/g (2.4GHz) may need to be reconfigured to use 802.11a. If you have such a device and need help with configuration or software upgrade, please contact the IT Service Desk at 415-514-4100 and/or submit a self-service ticket via help.ucsf.edu.
No impact to the wired network.
Additional Information: IT Network Team will need to be informed of such reachability issues and will need to work with the servers and firewall administrator to allow access for new IP Address ranges. For such issues, please open a ServiceNow ticket with the IT Service Desk.
