UCSF is currently seeing more phishing messages than usual. We’d like to take this opportunity to ask that you remain vigilant and be on the lookout for suspicious emails. Phishing attacks are becoming more sophisticated and difficult to differentiate from legitimate email messages, putting your personal information and University data at risk.

What You Should Do

1. DO NOT click on links or attachments in unsolicited emails. 
2. Click on “Report Phish” icon in your Outlook Message toolbar to report any suspicious message. For step-by-step instructions on reporting phishing email, visit https://it.ucsf.edu/service/phish-alarm.
3. Delete the phish email from your Inbox. 
4. If you think you may have responded to a phishing message, contact the IT Service Desk right away.
