All UCSF Windows devices must be upgraded to Windows 11 by October 2025. Upgrading will boost system performance and improve security. The upgrade requires 30-60 minutes of device downtime.

Self-Service Upgrade (starting November 2024)

1. Click BigFix icon from your Windows taskbar.
2. Select the Windows 11 - In-Place Upgrade Offer and click Accept.
3. The installation will complete over the next to 30-60 minutes and will require an automatic restart.
   NOTE: Do not restart or shut down your system during the installation.
