    Box: Manage Email Uploads

    UCSF Box allows you to designate folder(s) in which users can email files directly to Box by sending an attachment to a unique email address. Email attachments will be uploaded as long as they do not collectively exceed 80 MB. The body of the email will not be uploaded. The upload is secure because Box scans every attachment before it is uploaded to Box and quarantines the attachment if malware is discovered. Once the file has been posted to Box, CipherCloud will scan it for

    DEB-DSS User Responsibilities

    If you currently store data in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics (DEB) Data Systems/Data Center or are an active user of the DEB Data Systems Services (DSS) you should be aware that UCSF is taking steps to increase IT security in order to ensure compliance with University of California policy BFB-IS-3: Electronic Information Security (“IS-3”). This policy applies to all campuses, all faculty, staff, students, and contractors who use UC information technology resources, including DSS resources.

    The DSS team can draw on its extensive practical experience to assess technical requirements and needs for individual projects, produce labor and cost estimates for funding proposals, and provide budget justification language. The team is also qualified to review study specifications, make recommendations and provide guidance to investigators upon request. The team typically works iteratively with research teams during pre-award or competitive renewal phases of study planning.
