Threat Alert: UEFA EURO 2024-Themed Phishing Emails Steal Credit Card Data

• A series of UEFA Euro 2024-themed phishing emails has been circulating.
• The lures purport to offer the recipient a mystery box associated with the European football tournament if they respond to a short survey.
• The lures contain a URL leading to a survey- style page. The final landing page of the survey purports to be a payment site that ultimately harvests credit card information.

Key Action: Report Suspicious Emails 

• Go beyond surface clues. Familiar logos, branding, and names are not automatic indicators that an email or website is safe. Cybercriminals often imitate well-known organizations.
• Beware of “too good to be true” offers. Many contests and giveaways are legitimate. But if you are asked to provide sensitive information to participate, it’s almost certainly a scam.
• Report ANY suspicious emails using the Phish Alarm button.
