Microsoft Office 2021

What’s Happening:

We are upgrading Office 2016 (32 Bit) to Office 2021 (64 Bit) on Windows computers.  Computers with Office 365 are not affected.

Why:

Office 2016 will reach the End-of-Support (EOS) on October 14, 2025.  Microsoft will no longer provide updates after EOS date.

How:

We will use BigFix to deploy Office 2021 using BigFix.  You will receive a prompt to save your work before the upgrade proceeds. The upgrade process will remove Office 2016 from the system.  All Microsoft Office applications will be closed during the upgrade. Please do not launch any Microsoft Office applications during the upgrade.  Once it is completed, you will be prompted to restart your computer.  This process may take 15-30 minutes to complete.

Improvements and Usage:

If you have used Office 2016 or Office 365, Office 2021 is very similar to it.

Please see the links below that may help you navigate through Office 2021.

Additional Info:

Office 2021 is intended for shared/kiosk computers only.  For all other computers, we recommend using Office 365 which will have more features.

Office 2021 (32-bit) is available for applications/processes that do not support the Office 2021 64-bit version. Please submit a ticket and we can install Office 2021 (32-Bit)
