Your Path to Accessibility
Say it with us: I believe in accessibility for all!
If you are starting your journey or want to keep up with digital accessibility trends, the UC GAAD Day Webinar, May 18th at 10 to 11:30 am will help you find your path to accessibility.
Enjoy ten-minute talks from UC staff members who will share some practical skills, talk about the importance of digital accessibility, and answer your questions. Best of all, you will have a great time!
The UC Community has been estimated at over 2,535,409 alumni, staff, learners, and faculty. Together our work reaches the world with its impact. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that 16% of the world is living with a disability [who.int]. That's over 1 billion people.
Helping to make our digital environments more accessible can't just be a job for the few to work on; it's an important part of UC's equity and inclusion core values. So let's celebrate this mission as one UC community.
Take this step, attend the webinar, and learn about these amazing topics: VR Lab at UCLA, Tactile Maps at UCD, LibreTexts, Zoom meetings, Social Media, Tableau, Siteimprove, and more!
Discover your own path to accessibility and help create a better world for all.
Register in advance for this webinar. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
The webinar will be live-captioned, provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation, and also be recorded.
Please submit any accommodations requests to Stephanie Nielsen [email protected] by May 11th.
Sponsored by the UC Electronic Accessibility Committee.
