Threat Alert: LEDGER-THEMED Phishing Emails Target Crypto Wallets

• A series of phishing emails abusing the Ledger brand, which is a manufacturer of cryptocurrency hardware wallets. have been identified.
• The lures purport to come from “Ledger Official Notice”, using the address alerts[@]ledger-safety[.]com, and warn of a
  potential Ledger breach.
• Recipients are instructed to follow an included URL to a lookalike landing page at ledger-safety[.]com, where they verify their account details.
• Attackers can use this information to take control of the recipient’s cryptocurrency wallet.

Key Action: Report Suspicious Emails 

• Go beyond surface clues. Familiar logos, branding, and names are not automatic indicators that an email or website is safe. Cybercriminals often imitate well known organizations.
