    IT Request Management

Service Request Management is the process by which IT fulfills customer requests for standard services. A service request is a formal request from a customer for access to standard services IT provides. The goal of Request Management is to deliver services in a defined repeatable, consistent and timely manner to support customers in the ability to get access to services to do their jobs. – Mitch Pautz, ITSM manager

    Box: Secure Folder

Every file inside a secure folder smaller than 400MB will be encrypted by the CipherCloud server. A secure folder provides a way to encrypt sensitive data that does not fall into the category of easily recognized UCSF PHI. Examples include UCSF PHI images, audio files, video files and sensitive data that is not UCSF PHI.

    Box: CipherCloud (.ccsecure) Encryption

Secure Box allows UCSF Box users to store restricted data while protecting UCSF and our patients, staff and learners from data loss.We launched CipherCloud on Monday, October 3, 2016. In November 2016 we began scanning files that were already on Box. Note: We are only scanning for UCSF PHI. We are not scanning multimedia formats (e.g., image, video, audio files, scanned PDFs) or files over 400MB.With the implementation of CipherCloud, UCSF Box users will see the following changes.
