The following are a list of Frequently Asked Questions about Concord Fax. This page will be updated as more questions about Concord Fax are received.
- How may we determine if our working laptops have RightFax FaxUtil on?
If it is installed, it will appear in the Start Menu, in the RightFax folder (or “Captaris”, for some very very old versions), as RightFax FaxUtil.
- We currently use webpage RightFax, shall we open help ticket to convert our RightFax access to Concord Print2Fax?
Everyone who uses RightFax Web that doesn’t already have FaxUtil installed on their computer should definitely fill out the form at https://tiny.ucsf.edu/p2frequest/. The form will ask for your preferred name, e-mail address, and UCSF computer hostname.
- We receive our inbound faxes by email. How do we re-wire the linking email from RightFax to Concord Print2Fax? We have a fax number that is linked to RightFax. How do we re-wire the linking fax number from RightFax to Concord Print2Fax?
All of UCSF’s inbound electronic faxing has already been moved off of RightFax and over to Concord Fax! That happened between June-September 2024, with the schedule dependent on AT&T’s approval of the line porting requests. So your inbound fax line is already on Concord Fax, and has been for quite a while!
- We are interested in potentially requesting access to Concord Print2Fax for our research team. Is there a cost associated with sending or receiving faxes using this product?
There are costs associated with inbound fax lines hosted by Concord Fax. However, right now, IT is assuming the costs based on low to normal usage (volume of pages). Higher volume users may be subject to a recharge. Please contact the service owner if you require any additional information.
- I received this communication and noticed that it was addressed to Campus managers. I was wondering if the date of Concord print2fax installations for the Health (Medical Center) side would also be December 16th?
The Print2Fax client/application installation process has commenced. Users should see the Print2Fax applications on their computers by or before December 16th.
- I am a full-time remote worker, and I was wondering how the instillation of Print2Fax will work for remote laptop workers. Will I be able to call IT to have it remotely installed?
It will be deployed via BigFix so whenever you logon to the network (VPN) you will receive the install for Print2Fax.
- For Department of Public Health staff who have DPH-supported laptops, do you know if Print2Fax is also a DPH-supported application? Do they sign up by contacting DPH IT?
Thank you for your inquiry. DPH has its own separate IT that supports a different fax solution (it’s not RightFax or Concord Fax). DPH staff would need to contact their own IT to ask about what options they have.
