Purchase a standalone, physical server and supporting equipment from an IT-approved list. The FAC will provide a secure, centralized, and fully observable hosting environment. (Note: Bringing your own servers on-premises is not permitted.) Refer to the FAC Technical Diagram. Available Fall 2025

The FAC employs a shared responsibility model, where we handle provisioning, infrastructure, networking, and monitoring. Once a BaS is deployed, you assume management, with system administrators granted root access to servers for full control of the environment.

Biostatisticians  Analyzing large-scale epidemiological and patient outcome datasets in a secure, controlled environment without virtualization overhead.	Drug Development Teams  Managing proprietary compound databases and simulation tools in a secure, dedicated environment.	Medical Device Researchers  Developing and testing software for medical devices in an isolated environment for compatibility and regulatory compliance.

Rates

After selecting an IT-approved server, you'll be charged for setup and a monthly service fee, which varies based on server power and complexity.Charges for ARS services occur monthly.

NOTE: Monthly maintenance fees based on server power and complexity. See the pricing sheet for available servers at each level. All system and custom admin support is $140 an hour.
