Identity and Access Management (IAM) Modernization

This website provides updates on the IAM Modernization Program plan including program status, FAQs, timeline, and contacts.

Project Description

Identity and Access Management (IAM) is the name given to the portfolio of services used to manage someone at UCSF, their accounts, applications, and resource access. This includes creation, modification, and deletion. In other words, making sure the right UCSF users have access to the right tools at the right time.

Identity is the cornerstone of a person’s digital record. Every person involved with UCSF has an identity record created before their first encounter with UCSF. This record is leveraged for all authentication and access management until their departure.

More information will become available as the project moves forward. If you have questions about this initiative, please reach out.
