IAM Modernization Program Goals

This program will establish a modern Digital Identity & Access Management service that will advance UCSF’s health missions, enhance educational and research experiences, and support raising security risk. 

1. Modernize Identity Governance Administration (IGA)
Streamline and automate access request, access review, identity lifecycle, and password management processes for employees and learners.

2. Non-Employee Lifecycle Management (MyAffiliate)
Streamline and automate identity lifecycle processes for affiliates, including fellows and residents.

3. Standardize Single Sign-On (SSO)
Standardizing single sign-on for enterprise applications for a more seamless user log-in and log-out experience. Learn more about Single Sign-On (SSO) Standardization.

4. Revamp Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Reboot program with a focus on Organizational Change Management to drive adoption and enterprise-wide rollout.

5. Streamline Infrastructure Authentication
Streamline Unix account and access management leveraging Active Directory bridging and certificate-based authentication
