FAC’s Virtual Machine hosting (Coming Soon) optimizes secure computing resources while reducing hardware and administrative costs. Ideal for tasks with varying intensity, duration, or frequency, a VM runs its own OS and programs while sharing a host machine. Refer to the FAC Technical Diagram.

The FAC employs a shared responsibility model in which we handle provisioning, infrastructure, networking, monitoring, and technical support. Once a VM is provisioned, you take full responsibility for management and security, with system administrators granted root access for complete control.

Features

Benefits

Optimized Servers
VMs are hosted on servers near the storage infrastructure and connected to FAC Capacity Storage.

Enjoy lower latency, fast data access and highly available resources.

Performance Monitoring
Enterprise-class tools monitor systems to ensure hardware readiness and proper security tool installation/configuration.

Avoid downtime and keep your operations running smoothly.

Network Segmentation
Networks are isolated for security and control.

Prevent security incidents from spreading.

Flexible, Fast Scaling
Resources adjust on demand, enabling rapid scaling to meet changing needs.

Leverage efficient resource allocation to avoid bottlenecks and ensure rapid data retrieval and processing.

Robust Security
The infrastructure is consolidated with strong security and data protection plans.

Let centralized management oversee the task of maintaining a secure, reliable environment.

Self-Service
Provisioning tools empower you to provision virtual machines quickly and easily. Available Fall 2025

Eliminate the hassles of manual setup.

Control of Environment
Root access to servers for admin control

Ensure that only authorized users access your data.

Minimized Cost
The services are subsidized, with minimized hardware and administrative overhead.

Reduce your operational costs and effort.
