How to Request Access
Everyone with an active UCSF email address has access to the web version of Microsoft 365 (office.ucsf.edu) applications but a premium license is required for the desktop and mobile applications.
NOTE: You do not need to be on VPN to use the Microsoft Excel desktop application.
NOTE: If you and your team use Excel files on Box, OneDrive, or Teams to track PHI you know that these files will be encrypted to secure their data. Need an alternative that allows you edit the data together in real time? Try Microsoft Lists! Import your spreadsheet to create the list, add smart features like automatic change notifications and category filters, and share the data within Teams.
Description
Organize your data in spreadsheets or workbooks with all changes saved automatically. Create modern visuals that turn numbers into valuable insights. Work together in real time knowing that everyone is on the same page.
NOTE: Each Microsoft 365 application has a different sign-in frequency, the following page highlights the sign-in frequency setting for each application and client. Learn more about Microsoft 365 Idle Session Times.
Benefits
- Easily create spreadsheets and use formulas to perform calculations.
