The IT Infrastructure Network Services Team provides core enterprise-wide communications services to UCSF.  It is responsible for the planning, installation and the management of the University’s enterprise-wide data communication networks.  This network is comprised of a complex IT infrastructure consisting of cable plants, network closets, routers, switches, wireless controllers, security components, telephony equipment and end-user applications, and end-user appliances. The IT Infrastructure Network Services Team is responsible for day-to-day management of data end devices and infrastructure within the OSI model.

The UCSF IT PMO provides project management services across a wide range of technologies and methodologies in support of all missions across the Enterprise.

IT Security provides the following services to the UCSF enterprise: Incident Response (IR), Digital Forensics Incident Response (DFIR), Architecture consulting, Policy Management, Risk Management & Compliance, Security Awareness and Outreach, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security (including Endpoint Detection & Response, AntiVirus, and Encryption), E-Discovery, and investigation assistance. In addition IT Security plays a role in maintaining UCSF Digital Security Standards & Guidelines.
