Beginning Monday, August 17, 2020 and continuing through August 20, 2020, we will expire all authentication tokens for the UCSF email service. This means you will need to log into Office 365 services and applications again.

This change will not take effect immediately, you will begin experiencing the requirement to re-login to all Microsoft 365 apps starting around 10:30 am and continuing through the next 3 days.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

After this change is made, there will be new minimum requirements for accessing these services (via modern authentication)

  • Outlook 2016, for both PC and Mac operation systems
    • We recommend upgrading to Microsoft Office 365
      • For IT managed systems, Field Services is in the process of pushing out MS Office 365
      • Or go to software.ucsf.edu, download, and install the MS Office 365 productivity suite (requires MyAccess logon).
      • If using your own device - log in using OWA, click the app launcher (waffle icon) in the upper left-hand corner, follow the links to install MS Office 365.
  • Customers on Linux systems do not have an option for a desktop client and must use OWA and/or Office 365 applications on the web.
