Cisco Jabber UC Training: Video Conference
Starting a Video Conference in Cisco Jabber UC To start a video conference call, you will need to either (1) join one of our on-premise video conferencing bridges or (2) know the conference room's SIP URI so that you can dial the room directly. Note: The on-premise bridges and the conference room URIs look like email addresses. They must end in @ucsf.edu in order for Jabber UC to route the call to the video conference infrastructure. It uses advanced artificial intelligence (AI) to transcribe spoken audio into written text, providing reasonably accurate results in real time. You can also use Otter.ai to transcribe live dictation or create standardized captioning files from previously recorded audio and video content.

VPN - Remote connection
Pulse / Ivanti Secure Access VPN allows users outside of the UCSF directly connected internal network to access restricted resources at UCSF (e.g., connecting to file shares, servers, desktops). The system provides a fully encrypted connection between the client device (laptop, smartphone, tablet, etc.) and the UCSF network providing access identical to systems connected via wired or wireless within UCSF facility.
