Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP)
OverviewSymantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) is provided free of charge to UCSF faculty, staff, students and researchers. SEP is designed to (1) detect, remove and prevent the spread of viruses, spyware and other security risks and (2) provide Windows, Mac and Linux computers with anti-virus (AV) and anti-spyware protection. In addition, UCSF SEP clients automatically keep both the client software and security definitions (AV and IPS) updated for the most complete protection.

Cisco Jabber UC Training: Group Chats
Start a Chat Session with Multiple Jabber Users You can send a group chat invite to chat with more than one person at a time. These conversations are not saved by Cisco Jabber, if you close the chat window, you will lose the chat history. Note: If you have a need to maintain chat history for collaboration, Microsoft Teams provides persistent chat history, please visit the Microsoft Teams Training page for more information.

Activating Adobe Acrobat Pro DC for ITFS-Supported Users
As of Tuesday, September 26, 2023, IT Field Services (ITFS) is distributing upgrade notifications to all ITFS-managed Macs with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 installed, starting with Macs. Alternatively, you may also click here, if your Mac is properly enrolled and managed by UCSF IT, to manually download and install Adobe Acrobat Pro DC from our Jamf Self Service app portal.

UCSFwpa Instructions - Android
Overview Each version of Android and each manufacturer of Android devices changes components of the Android user interface. They do this to make the experience match the goals of the specific device. *Please be advised some Android OS version on Google Pixel may not able to update UCSFwpa wireless certificate thus not compatible to connect. There are no manual configuration option available. This is a vendor issue and until resolved they will not connect to UCSFwpa.

Cisco Jabber UC Training: Video Conference
Starting a Video Conference in Cisco Jabber UC To start a video conference call, you will need to either (1) join one of our on-premise video conferencing bridges or (2) know the conference room's SIP URI so that you can dial the room directly. Note: The on-premise bridges and the conference room URIs look like email addresses. They must end in @ucsf.edu in order for Jabber UC to route the call to the video conference infrastructure.
