Overview The UCSFguest wireless network is available wherever the protected UCSFwpa network can be found. This enables people without UCSF network accounts to access basic Campus, Medical Center and internet resources. Network Access Control (NAC) With the volume and impact of security threats growing at UCSF and around the world, we have steadily improved UCSF’s security posture over the last few years. After a 2017 security assessment showed that we still had some way to go, Chancellor Hawgood instructed us to “move purposefully” on a suite of security initiatives, including the deployment of Network Access Control (NAC).

BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access
Description BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access allows users to remotely connect into their system, which has been approved for UCSF. Users will be able to use a Web Access Console or Full Access Console (Windows, Mac and Linux*) to remotely access their Windows, Mac and Linux* systems. BeyondTrust Privileged Remote Access has additional security controls in place compared to other protects such a PCAnywhere, RemotePC, Teamviewer, Google Remote Desktop, etc.
