How to Request Access

Everyone with an active UCSF email address has access to the web version of Microsoft 365 (office.ucsf.edu) applications such as Microsoft Loop as well as the Loop integration in Microsoft Teams.

Description

Microsoft Loop is a transformative co-creation experience that brings together teams, content and tasks across your tools and devices. Loop combines a powerful and flexible canvas with portable components that move freely and stay in sync across applications — enabling teams to think, plan, and create together.

Benefits

  • Manage projects - Bring all the relevant project content, context, and people into your workspace. Track deliverables, manage updates, and keep your team in sync and on track.
  • Run efficient meetings - Run your meetings in the app and capture agendas asynchronously or in real time, collaborate on meeting notes during a meeting, and assign action items.
  • Enhance collaboration - Brainstorm effectively from anywhere with your team using the app to communicate and collaborate in real time or asynchronously.

Support

For Microsoft Loop questions and support:

  • Submit a ticket on our Employee Self-Service Portal
  • Chat with other Microsoft 365 users at UCSF on the Office 365 Team (open to anyone at UCSF - use the join code 7me7twx)

Training

  • Getting Started with Microsoft Loop
  • Using Microsoft Loop templates
  • Introducing Microsoft Loop in Microsoft Teams
  • Send a Microsoft Loop component in Microsoft Teams chats and channels

Requirements and Limitations

To access Microsoft Loop, you will need a web browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are recommended for the best experience), and an active UCSF email address. Additionally, Microsoft Loop components are currently enabled for use in Microsoft Teams.

NOTE: Microsoft Loop has the following limitations:

  • Maximum of 250 Loop workspaces created per user
  • Maximum of 50 Loop workspaces created per user per day
  • Maximum of 1,000 members in each Loop workspace.
