The Collaboration Tools team is pleased to announce the installation of new servers to the UCSF email server cluster. This work seeks to ensure UCSF's compliance in anticipation of the existing Exchange 2016 reaching end-of-life.

Installation Timeframe

The first Exchange 2019 server will be installed between 3pm-9pm on July 18th, 2025. The installation of five total Exchange 2019 servers will continue in subsequent weeks until all existing UCSF Exchange 2016 servers have been upgraded.

User Expectations

As the Collaboration Services team completes the installation of these servers, there will not be any expected downtime to end users during this installation. In addition, there will not be any lost functionality to users as part of this upgrade.
