With the promising news about vaccines, attackers may be sending vaccine-themed phishing emails. Vaccinations will be offered to all members of the UCSF community as the vaccine supply increases. Here are a few things to keep in mind while the vaccination details are being worked out: 

• You can’t pay to put your name on a list to get the vaccine.  
• You can’t pay to get early access to the vaccine.  
• Nobody legit will call about the vaccine and ask for your Social Security, bank account, or credit card number.

If you receive a suspicious email, follow these steps:

1. DO NOT click on links or attachments in unsolicited emails. 
2. Click on “Report Phish” icon in your Outlook Message toolbar to report it. Visit https://it.ucsf.edu/service/phish-alarm. to view instructions for reporting Phish emails,
3. Delete the phish email from your Inbox. 
4. If you think you may have responded to a phishing message, contact the IT Service Desk.
