Cybercriminals have launched a series of phishing attacks using the promise of a paid Christmas bonus as a lure.

Scammers are tampering with physical gift cards in retail store locations. In these attacks, scammers place barcode stickers on top of the legitimate gift card barcode.The barcode stickers redirect any funds a customer purchases for the intended gift card to an attacker-controlled account instead.Inspect physical gift cards before purchase.

Recent email-based attacks have used compromised Microsoft OneDrive accounts to send phishing emails. These emails encourage recipients to click a link to view a shared document.The OneDrive links lead targets to shared PDF documents containing quick response (QR) codes.

Cybercriminals have launched phishing attacks claiming to originate from a company help desk team.

Google has released Chrome version 108.0.5359.98/.99 for Windows and Chrome version 108.0.5359.98 for Mac, and Linux.  A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to take control of an affected system.
