How to Request Access

NOTE: Please note that Hitachi Group Manager is not used for processing Doors.

For Doors, please contact WeID, Mike Sorenson's group who is in charge of doors.

And John Landes in (IAM) Identity and Access Management team who is the contact for the Hitachi Door process.

How to request access for Hitachi Group Manager:

  1. Login to the UCSF VPN
  2. Navigate to https://mygroups.ucsf.edu/
  3. Use your MyAccess credentials or enter your Active Directory username and password directly to login.

Goal

Provide automated, self-service group management, so that group membership can drive secure access to applications, network resources and targeted communications.

Group Creation & Ownership

  • View group ownership
  • Modify group ownership
  • Create groups
  • Edit Groups
  • Modify group membership

Group Membership

  • Request to leave or join a group
  • View group membership

Search Groups

  • Search across all groups
  • View group attributes
  • Self-service, ability to manage or request group membership.

Delegate Authority

  • Delegate other users as group owners for specific periods of time.

Approve/Review Request

  • Approve & review group change requests for groups you own
