Microsoft Teams (Limited Support)
Joining External Microsoft Teams Meetings
UCSF conference rooms use Cisco video systems and are fully supported for Zoom meetings. Microsoft Teams hosting is not supported.
External Teams meetings can sometimes be joined if the meeting organizer has SIP video access enabled. Without SIP enabled, the room system cannot connect.
Requirements
- Teams interoperability must be enabled on your room system.
- Contact your department IT team to enable this feature
Joining a Teams Meeting
- Use the Teams shortcut on the room system to join the meeting.
- Connection may take 30 seconds or longer. Please be patient.
Content Sharing
Content sharing through the room system is not supported for Teams meetings.
If you need to present:
- Join the Teams meeting on your laptop.
- Share content from your laptop.
- Mute your laptop microphone and speakers to avoid audio feedback.
Recommended
Whenever possible, ask external participants to host the meeting in Zoom for the best compatibility with UCSF conference rooms.
