Learn the Interface

In addition to the web client, Microsoft OneDrive can be used on a mobile device (e.g. iOS and Android devices). Learn more about using OneDrive Mobile.
NOTE: Prior to using OneDrive for mobile devices, you will need to Enroll Your Mobile Device in Intune Company Portal.
Upload and Save Files and Folders in OneDrive
Upload your files and folders to OneDrive, so you can access them from anywhere – at work, at home, or on the go.
Sharing and Managing Permissions
Files within OneDrive can be shared with other individuals through the Manage Access interface for the file. NOTE: CipherCloud encrypted (.ccsecure) files cannot be shared via public links or with external collaborators.
Before sharing files stored in OneDrive, it is important to understand how to provide access, set file permissions and remove access to files.

Version History in OneDrive
With version history, you can see and restore older versions of your files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint for all file types. If you need to, you may be able to restore deleted OneDrive files or restore deleted SharePoint items from the recycle bin.
Collaborating in OneDrive vs. Box
OneDrive is the preferred solution at UCSF for private storage of personal files and Box should be used for external file collaboration. It is a best practice to understand the differences between OneDrive and Box for collaborating when sharing files from either system.
